website redesign

Redesign an existing website

We review what is worth keeping and what is holding the current website back. We then improve its design, structure and technical foundation or build a new version when that is the more reliable route.

What we review in the current version

Content

Which services, projects, articles and contact details remain current, what is missing and what is no longer needed.

Structure and navigation

How easily visitors understand the offer and find the pages that matter.

Design and identity

Whether the colours, typefaces, photography and overall direction still represent the business accurately.

Mobile experience

How the menu, copy, forms and main actions work on a phone.

Technical foundation

WordPress, theme, plugins, versions or code structure and the practical options for reliable change.

Google and visit data

Indexed pages, URLs, titles, internal links, analytics and cookie settings.

what changes

The website should work better, not merely look different

A clear opening

The first screen explains what you offer, who it is for and how a visitor can contact you.

Well-organised pages

Services, projects and the rest of the content receive a clear structure and logical navigation.

A new visual direction

The design reflects the business and remains consistent throughout the website.

A practical mobile experience

Copy, images, navigation and forms are arranged specifically for smaller screens.

Faster loading

Unnecessary weight is removed and images, code and the technical environment are improved for the project.

Forms and important actions

Enquiries, calls, bookings or purchases are easy to find and complete.

Keep what works and replace what gets in the way

01

Redesign the current foundation

When the platform is reliable, we retain working features and improve the structure, templates, content and visual direction.

02

Build a new version

When the old foundation prevents the project from moving forward, we build a new website and transfer useful content and important URLs.

before launch

The new version is prepared separately

The current website stays online while we organise the content, develop the new design and check important pages and actions.

Map the current website

We list pages, articles, files, forms and external services.

Develop separately

New pages and templates are built and reviewed without interrupting the current website.

URLs and redirects

Important addresses are retained and 301 redirects are prepared for those that need to change.

Final checks and launch

We review the mobile experience, forms, main actions and important pages before switching versions.

questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website redesign cost?

The price is agreed after reviewing the current website. It depends on the number of pages, content, technology, required features and whether we work with the existing foundation or build a new version.

When is a redesign worthwhile?

When the content and main features remain useful, but the design, structure, navigation or mobile experience no longer presents the business well. After a review, we identify what can be retained.

When is a new website the better option?

When the current foundation is slow, outdated, difficult to maintain or prevents the changes the project needs. We then move useful content and important addresses to a new version.

Does the website platform matter?

We work with WordPress and custom-coded websites. We first review the theme, plugins or code structure to decide whether the existing foundation can be used reliably.

Will the pages remain visible in Google?

We retain important URLs where possible and prepare 301 redirects for any that change. Titles, descriptions, internal links and the sitemap are checked to reduce the risk of losing established visibility.

Will the current website remain online during the work?

Yes. The new version is developed separately. The current website remains available and is replaced after the final checks.
